Good morning.
I am trying to apply a 1000 lbs load to the edge of a 3D part (see attached picture). However from the load categories available in the "Create Load" window in Abaqus/CAE, I've not been able to find how to do it.
CONCENTRATED FORCE applies a load only on points (I want to apply in on a edge)
SHELL EDGE LOAD applies the load to the edge of a 2D part, not of a 3D part
SURFACE TRACTION will apply the load to a surface, not to an edge.
LINE LOAD requires to know the load per unit length applied on the edge. However I want to input the total load applied to that edge since I don't know how long the edge will be.
Is it possible to apply a load on a 3D part edge in Abaqus/CAE ?
