There are temperature boundary conditions available in the Boundary Condition task.

hi daniel,
Thnaks for the reply
What is the reference temp ( room temp ) value in IDEAS.
When i give the temparature value in Boundary conditions , should i give the temp rise value OR should I give roomtemp + temp rise value

Midhun

The reference temperature can be defined in the temperature set in the boundary condition task, and is default to be 21.85 deg C in I-deas. If u are subjecting the WHOLE FE model to 30 deg C rise with refer to a reference temperature, defining the temperature set will do it all and u need not to applied the temperature on the part again.
