hi all
this is an important problem for me.
i'm trying to estableshing an eqilibrium state in geostatic step and i've used the initial stesses cosedering the gravity acceleration=10m/sec2
and applying a gravity load in the same step=-10 this to let the programe calculate the soil weight throw the mass density which i put in the material property. but the run was aborted by error (need small increment time than especified )note; it was 1e-35.

the strange thing that
when i changed the gravity value in the loading the material to be =-1(not-10) , and runed it again and by the same increment time , it runed and whith no errors.
could any one tell me
1-is it wright to put the gravity load=-1? and why?
2-is there any way to make the abaqus running with more begger time increment? or to make it more faster (for example by changing the used unites ?
3-what's your ideas about the resone of asking small time increment?
