Hi!
I am a mechanical engineer involved in design (and consequently in writing of procurement specifications for different centrifugal pump types) for a huge water treatment plant. During my work, I would like to reffer to a standard recognised in pump engineering (prefferably north-american).
Which standard do you recommend (API, ANSI, ASME or other)? Is it true that API standard usually defines more robust and reliable pump constructions and is it suitable for the water treatment plant, since it is originally used for the oil industry pumps?
Is there a way to access these standards for free, and if not, what is the most affordable way for purchasing the standard you recommend?
Thanks in advance!
