Hello Everyone,
I want to ask, what is the easiest way to model and tensile a single yarn in abaqus?

It depends on its size and shape - if a reasonably dense solid mesh can be applied to it or if 1D elements have to be used.

Can you suggest how both options could be explored on abaqus? I can assume the cross-section of the yarn is circular. Could it be modelled as 3D long pipe with a circular cross-section?

Beam elements should be sufficient so model this as a wire and assign a beam section with a circular profile.
