In R2000 & R2002 within the modify dimension style command there is the option to change dimension 'arrowheads' to various styles. We've recently discovered a glitch with this
style.
We use 2-layers for dimensions (grid line dims & general dims). We've discovered that if you use the 'Architectural Tick' arrowhead style, this inserts a block called '_ArchTick' into the drawing. The problem is that this block inserts itself into the current layer that the
FIRST dimension was created on. So if my first dim was on
'general dims' layer, and I then create a dim on the 'grid dims' layer, the tick block remains on the 'general dims' layer. This is fine untill you have to switch of freeze
one of these layers :
Freezing the general dims layer would remove the ticks
from grid dims. Conversley freezing the grid dims layer
leaves the ticks showing.
If the arrowhead style 'oblique' or 'arrow' is selected,
this problem does not exist.
Has anyone else had this problem? and know a way round it
as a lot of our drawings have allready been produced using
the Arch. Tick style arrowhead and for continuity we would
like to continue using it if this glitch can be rectified.
Any comment/help would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance
