Hi everyone,

I can't seem to find any reference to A312 TP 304 or A312 TP316 under the ASME B31.8 and wonder if it's allowed to be used. Table 841.1.7-1 (2018 version) doesn't seem to mention it. Mandatory appendix D (B31.8 2018) doesn't seem to list them either, thought it does give a footnote: "GENERAL NOTE: This Table is not complete. For the minimum specified yield strength of other grades and grades in other approved specifications, refer to the particular specification."
I assume the "approved specifications" implies those listed under mandatory appendix A? Which lists ASME BPV Code: Section II, Materials;
comparing Yields from e.g. A106Grb between Man.App.D (ASME B31.8 2018) 241Mpa and ASME sec. II part A (2017) SA106grB 240Mpa compares, but it's exact. At least it's lower so convertavive, but I don't know if this trend of Sec.II being lower applies for all materials.
Can I just take the yield values from SA312 from ASME BPV Code: Section II, Materials; under ASME B31.8
A312 TP304 yield 205 Mpa
A312 TP316 yield 205 Mpa

Thanks
