AREA HATCH

Is there a way to have Solidworks give you the area of a hatch that you create in a section view? Maybe a macro that could calculate it instead of tedious calculations? pleas help

Click on the cross section, then on Tools on the menu at top, and on the pop-up (drop down menu) Section Properties.
