When using Null Areas to transfer an Area Load "Uniform to Frame (shell)" to columns (simulating a two way slab on columns), I am getting an error message that says "Error in creating Analysis Model". How should I be modeling this 2-way area load in order to transfer gravity load to the columns? The model is producing incorrect axial forces from gravity loads.

When I try using "Uniform (shell)" loading, none of the gravity load gets transferred to columns.

The purpose of the model is to design the lateral force resisting system of a building which will see P-Delta effects...

Solution --> One (1) "None" area section was connected at 4 points, 3 or which were along the same line. Deleting and creating two (2)triangular "None" area sections corrected this problem.
