Does anyone know what ARFF stands for in regards to a petroleum tank farm? We had a request for proposal come across and they reference "ARFF" didn't know if there was a typo or if there really is such an animal.

Thanks.

I think you have a typographical error in an abbreviation. ARFF is airport rescue fire fighting. Did they mean AFFF, meaning Aqueous Film Forming Foam? Sounds like the finger found the "R" instead of the "F" button.

I believe the term is AR-FFF. It is alcohol resistant film forming foam. I have seen it used in some industrial settings for protecting flammable liquids.

Interesting,

In my world we call it ATC-AFFF, just to avoid incompatible foam issues.

is the tank farm at an airport???

Dear all,
Should this possibly be AR-FFFP Alcohol Resistant Film Forming Fluro protein Foam?

Best Regards
