Hello all!!!! I would like to get information about the influence of the hydrothermal argillization in the mechanical properties of rocks.

I am looking for this paper: "Argillic alteration and ore deposits" by George Melvin Schwartz.

Thanks.

The paper is available, but under copyright. You'll have to buy it.

When I took geology as part of my engineering curriculum (U of MN), we had a professor name George Schwartz that was almost as old as the samples. "Georgie" was also friendly referred to as "Rocky". Could it be the same person? Everyone referred to him a "Rocky".

The old building the class was held in was appropriately a very old and beautiful sandstone structure. I still have and use (after 50 years) my very nice magnifying glass in a leather case that was required for the class. He loved to talk about the variety of sedimentary rocks and the intrusive igneous rock and the surface erosion effects from the melting of the glaciers and depositing of the till.
