I have some pictures of armored vechile body part. And my wish is make this in Catia V5. But in this picture i see many details. Ribs and stiffners have holders in vertical plates. Can i use part by part design and then assembly together or use some "easy way"? Please write me tips and tricks for this. Thanks.

A lot of it could be made with simple pads, draft, and hole patterns. Maybe utilize the SMD (Sheetmetal) workbench if it's formed metal.

For the rib work and stiffeners I would create them in a separate part body and then use a Trim Boolean function to add them to the main body.

Ok, thanks for answer, its metal plates no sheet metal. Tell me about Trim Boolean function and how working in my case with ribs and stiffeners?

Which is your design intent? Playing around with CATIA? Training with some workbenches? What workbenches? What does it means for you simple way? Just do something in CATIA or do you want to develop the project as is done in engineering? Do you want to have BoM as much as possible correctly done? Did you imagine if this will be done in real life, how it will be done?

If you will answer yourself to this questions (there are also others but depends on what is your intention) you can start the work doing something according to your intentions (something fast and simple or something complex but more correctly done, consuming more time).

4ferdo: easy way is short way to make, i not have much time, and that model is my entry home work for one Company.
4drewmumaw: right way, but my stiffeners have "holder" in vertical plates (see picture), i think is possible to use boolean to make stiffeners on the right way. Show me here (illustrate) please, with pic, my case of some stiffeners with holders. Thanks.

4Drew: Yes I now pay, but I think not model all vechile body structure, just little part (for example one ribs, one stiffener and part of vertical plates). In your explanation of boolean command that use for simple rib, but my rib/stiffener have “holder” in vertical plate, and that is problem. I don’t now how model that rib with boolean command, or maybe make new part of rib and then put in “holder” place in vertical plates.

i would ask the company if they have best practices and if they do i will follow what they want.

if they don't i would ask question about who will use my model and why... most of the choice I will use during modeling will affect downstream usage of the data. That being said you could understand why I will not give my 2 cent on the best way to model this.

I would just suggest you check with your company if it is ok to upload picture of their part on internet. I was (let say) surprised to see a picture or what you called armored vehicle part, if it is link with military project you should really check what you can share...

@itsmyjob: Yes, this is part of military vechile but not all of structure. And Company is not in area 51. I need help for some modeling details, not discuss what i share on net. Maybee is this a part of civialin truck. ;-)

Generaly, stiffernes on this model i make individually, first slots. Easy way is create positioned Sketch on slots and then make Sktech of stiffener and then Pad. And that is new Body.
Other elements is simply to create with planes, translate command, rotate by axis, Mirror, and Pad.
Part is symmetric, and left vertical and right vertical side is symetric.
Thanks for all for help.
