Arnold's Criteria

I am currently evaluating an existing gunbarrel tank. My boss said evaluate using "arnold's criteria", which I have never heard of. I now the principles of operations of a gunbarrel tank and have worked on it before using Stoke's law.

Am I right that evaluating a gunbarrel tank should be done using stoke's law? Does anyone know what Arnold's Criteria is? I have tried googling the term with no success.

Never heard of it. Maybe it was "Reynold's criteria" mis-spoke/mis-heard.

Thanks, Latexman. Makes sense, he speaks with an accent...maybe I just didn't pick it up. Even then, Reynold's number will indicate laminar or turbulent flow...and you use stoke's law if laminar.

Also, does anyone know/have steps on how to design a gunbarrel tank? If yes, can you please share it with me?
