Arrow tail length in Drafting 1

Any way to adjust the length of the arrow "tail" in Drafting? I've looked in the usual settings (both for the dim itself, and in Drafting Preferences) and can't see where that length is controlled. As shown in the example, all I want to do is shorten it by a smidgen so it doesn't run into the other extension line. And, NO, I don't want to fiddle with putting one of those half-as**d "breaks" ("gaps"?) in there.

In customer defaults in the Drafting standard it can be changed....
it is a factor...

Bear in mind that when you change that setting, it will affect all newly created dimensions, but it will not change existing ones.

Thanks for the screen shot, nutace, but I don't have a Drafting Standards choice when I go to File, Utilities, Customer Defaults. There's only Drafting and the choices under that. I suspect that I don't have permission to go in and change the Drafting Standards. Or perhaps we're running different versions?

Well, I found someone else asking the same question over at the Siemens Community page:

with the same solution.

So, since I don't have permissions to mess with the Drafting Standards, I'm simply back to being an exasperated user, as usual.
BTW, my coworker did find a trick to change the length by changing the font size default. Might try that workaround ... no one will notice a little font size change ...

OK, thanks, now I'm looking in the proper section - after hitting the Customize button - but unfortunately everything has a lock on it. Sigh.
