Hi
I need to replace some existing Sodium Cyanide Tanks. The tanks were previously designed to AS1692 - however when reading that code it states it is only applicable for liquids whose density is not greater than 1000kg/m3 and the max volume for a horizontal tank is 150m3.
Now the density of Sodium Cyanide in solution is 1190kg/m3 and one of the existing tanks is 165m3.
So there are 2 non compliances with this code that I can see.
Can the code still be used? Is there another applicable code?
ANy help is appricated.
