Hi,I have BIG PROBLEM:
My question is related to As & Hg & total sulfur removal from ethane gas. Ethane Feed has above impurity and should be routed to Olefin plant (the feed flow rate is 180,000Kg/hr), therefore all impurity should be removal before the plant.I know they should be removed by catalyst but i haven't any information about the catalyst. Is there any one to help me ? Please send me your reply as soon as possible. Thank in advance.

MT47,

I think you should be able to remove sulfur from ethane with a ZnO bed.
Hg can be removed by e.g. CMG273 from Axens (former Procatalyse).
Axens have different As traps, not sure which one is suitable for ethane.

Contact Axens or any other cat vendor to know more about process conditions to see what exact cat types and hardware you would need for your specific situation. Not sure if you can squeeze all 3 in one vessel.

Im an intern at a gas to liquid refinery plant. Im currently working on a problem encountered on the vacuum column.

The HVGO comes out with the vacuum bottoms!! How do I tackle this kind of a problem? Please help.

Thank you Epoisses ,I check Axen Catalog ,They have two diffrent beds gaurds for Hg & As .
In US patent 4962272 ,lead oxide catalyst have been recomended for COS & As.Are you know any company to produce the catalyst?
JGC & UOP has a process for removeing Hg & As.Is there any one has detail information about this process?

I don't know but you may be able to google it up. Google COS and As, not lead oxide because the compositions of such cats is often confidential.
