ASCE-05 Wind load on louver steel structure

Hello Guys,

I have a question regarding Wind load calculation using ASCE7-05 on a louver supporting system as shown in the attached picture, for this type of structure shall I treat it as an open sign & Lattice Frameworks and use the Cf factors in Figure 6-22 or shall I go for the Solid free standing walls & Solid Signs for the coeficient in Figure 6-20.

ASCE 7-05, Figure 6-22, Note 1: "Signs with openings comprising 30% or more of the gross area are classified as open signs"

Not really sure what your open area is based on image, but if open area is less than 30%, you have to design per figure 6-20 "Solid Freestanding Walls & Solid Signs

You are permitted to reduce the force coefficients of Figure 6-20 as noted in Note 2 of Figure 6-20. Its dependent upon ratio of solid area to gross area.
