Hello,

I need to know for wind load displacement ,we take cracked or uncracked section
+H/500 limit for displaemnt(where is the reference for this limit)?

Ideally, you'd consider a level of cracking reflective of the actual degree of cracking that you expect based on analysis. That'S hard work though so we often just use approximate cracked values. To my knowledge, North American codes don't specify wind drift limits directly. Values between h/400 and h/500 are common and there are a number of articles floating around out there that support those values.

I like to debate structural engineering theory -- a lot. If I challenge you on something, know that I'm doing so because I respect your opinion enough to either change it or adopt it.
