1. If the exhaust requirement for the bld is 500cfm, is it required by the ASHRAE62.1 code to run the exhaust fan continously during the occupied period or it can be cycled on timing?

Same question for the O/A requirment .. can it be cycled by providing more cfm then the required .. or it has to supplied continously.

@Chris , u mean to say it has to run continously for the occupied period.


@ maurice . we can have CO2 sensor in the washroom , and then interlock it with the exhaust fan ?
 
62 has two exhaust rates for washrooms, one for continuous, and one for intermittent use. If you want to use intermittent, it should be interlocked with a room occupancy sensor
