Hi,

I'm a mechanical engineering undergrad trying to get into the composites field and as such would like to acquire a few technical reference books. I have access to ASM Handbook Volume 21: Composites but I can pick up a copy of ASM Engineered Materials Handbook: Composites, Volume I at a pretty reasonable price. The only concern I have is how much overlap is there between the two. Has anyone compared the two book and able to tell me how much difference there is between them? I'd also be interested in any recommendations you may have on good handbooks for a composites engineer to have.

Thanks

Agreed, the ASM Engineered Materials Handbook: Composites, Volume I was a great book, but it is now 28 years old. ASM Handbook Volume 21: Composites is great too, and 14 years newer.
