Hi all!

I currently following the steps in KD-232 "Protection against local failure"

In equation "KD-232.3":

What exactly is the different delta terms? I cannot find an explination

My understandaing/ gut feeling is that e.g. Delta_epsiolon_p,11,k is the difference between principal plastic strains between increments. I.e.:

Delta_epsiolon_p,11,5 = epsiolon_p,11,5-epsiolon_p,11,4

Any help would be appriciated

Yes, but your notation isn't strictly correct. It shouldn't overlap between load steps 4 and 5.
Delta_epsiolon_p,11,5 = epsiolon_p,11,5End -epsiolon_p,11,5Start

Δε11,k = ⁿΔε_11,k - ^mΔε_11,k
Δε11,k = ^endΔε_11,5 - ^startΔε_11,5

where 'k' is the step being assessed (say the 5th step), 'n' is the end of the step being assessed and 'm' is the start of that step.

See Equation 5.28 of Div 2 for a similar equation.
