HI Everyone
For my project, the pipe fittings provided by the gas suppression manufacturer are socket-welded ones of Class 3000. However, the client requires me to change them to flanged ones. So, what Class should I choose for the flanges? The maximum operating pressure of the system is 6 MPa.
Really thanks

Well, first the B16.5 standard contains temperature-pressure rating tables for the various materials. Select the lowest class that meets your design conditions.

Second, confirm with the client. They may have a preference.

Regards

Mike

首先,B16.5 标准包含各种材料的温度-压力等级表。选择符合您的设计条件的最低等级。

第二,与客户确认。他们可能有偏好。

Thank you very much for your reply. I have a poor understanding of the ASME standard. I would like to ask if there is a flange equivalent to the Class 3000 socket - welding fitting. As I know, the highest Class rating for flanges is only 2500.
