ASME B16.5 list the rating of flanges in metric and imperial. I don't know if the rounding of metric values to the nearest superior unit is acceptable. are there any interpretation ? thanks for your contribution

abbver98,

It is unacceptable to combine systems of units. Read paragraph 1.6 of ASME B16.5.

I mean if you have 19.9 bar, can we round to 20 bar for exemple.

abbver-

Paragraph 7.1 of B16.5 2009 refers to ASTM E29. The pressure values are provided to three significant digits and this cannot be reduced to two significant digits while maintaining compliance with B16.5. E29 provides some examples which may be helpful. You cannot round 19.9 bar to 20 bar and still be compliant with B16.5.

Thanks jte.
paragraph 7.1 deals with dimensionnal tolerances, not pressure. Any interpretation available on this ?
