Hello All,
Have a project for a condenser water pipe system that incorporates a cooling tower pump that discharges directly into an expansion joint followed by eccentric reducer and into a check valve. The length of run is about 28 inches from pump to check valve. From what researched, the design should take into account a straight run pipe both before and after the check valve that is say 5x to 10x the pipe diameter. Question. What would be the proper industry standard and or building code with the latter language for proper design and installation to avoid flow turbulence. Would it be ASME B31.9 2017 or other?
