Hello all,
I am working on a project where I need to design a thick walled S.S 304 pressure vessel.
I am using lame's equations, but I can't seem to find a proper ASME code for those equations. Can anybody help me out find that code. Or if there's any other code for thick pressure vessel design please do tell. Thanks

For thick walled vessel you shall use Mandatory Appendix 1, 1-2:
ASME VIII-1 said:
"When the thickness of the cylindrical shell under internal design pressure exceeds one‐half of the inside radius, or when P
exceeds 0.385SE, the following equations shall apply."

Thanks a lot IdanPV, this was very helpful as the formulas conditions from UG-27 (2) didn't apply, but they do for the one's from the appendix.
