ASME Code Standard for Solar Hot Water tanks

Hello,

I am in Solar Thermal sales. I was someone could help me with the ASME code for Solar Hot Water Tanks over 500L or 132 gallons. What is it? and what does it mean? Would appreciate someone's insight. Is it something to do with handling pressure or heat?

Hot water storage tanks 120 GALs or more require ASME certification. You can build to Sect VIII-1 OR Sect IV. There are rules for tanks used for process water and domestic potable water. Genblr.
