Dear All,
I am facing a problem designing an Electic Heater Vessel having perforated WNRF Girth/Cover Flange with 255 holes on rectangular pattern to let the heater bundle tubes pass through. The Code of construction is ASME Sec VIII,Div2 and the design pressure is 278 barg @ 95degC.The vessel inside diameter is 30Inch and all the nozzle rating are 2500#.The material of construction of all the parts is SA 350 LF2.
My question is that the perforated cover flange and the grith flanges can be designed as non standard flange but how to take care of the perforated holes in cover flange calculation. Is there any appendix or relevant clause in div2 for this scenario?
Please suggest your opinions.
Thank you all.
