Any advice on the following would be greatly appreciated. I've been tasked with doing the ASME Section VIII code calculations for a heat exchanger. However I think it is out of the scope of part UHX for the following reasons: It has a segment of a circle (moon) shaped cutout in the tubesheet, an asymmetrical tube layout and while the shell is cylindrical, the outer shape of the tubesheet is a rectangle. The attached picture should help explain. Can I use part UHX? If not, is there another resource? FEA the only option? thanks!
