Hi,
I just want to know that, Is ASME sec I, allows leak during hydrotest of boiler with power piping from mechaincal joint (Threaded connection)?
If yes, Which para of ASME I and not Then also which para of ASME I.

There is an ASME interpretation on paragraphs PG-99.1 and PG-99.2 which answers your question issued in January 1998 which allows leakage from mechanical joints during the hydrostatic test only with the acceptance of the Authorized Inspector. see Interpretation I-98-07

Many of these leaks with cold boilers will seal up when the boilers are under fire. AI's recognize that.
 
No no leaks are allowed,
and after more than 30yrs, in field and shop work,
the leaks will not seal on inservice,
that's does not fly anymore,
it was called in the pass (and present) rust seal...
it was/is used in plumbing and not in piping.sloppy procedure.
