Hi All,

Wondering if any one can help with the following. I have been looking through ASME II C AWS5.22 to source a suitable wire for welding a austenitic stainless vessel.

I have been looking at the EC16-8-2 FCW wire, which would be suitable amongst other wires such as 308l etc. But for the EC16-8-2 wire I can not seem to find a table for the mechanical properties, UTS etc. I have noted that table 4 does not specify testing is required.

If any one can offer clarification on this I would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Your best bet would be to contact any one of the manufacturers you are considering purchasing from. They will probably share any info that they have with you on mechanical properties.

PVTC,
You may download DATA SHEET C-12, from Lincoln Metrode website. All data related to mechanical and other properties are listed in the data sheets.
You need to register here : to move further.
Thanks.
