Hi,

I have the 2007 ASME II part D (metric).

Does anybody know what happened to table TE-1?

Those tables for thermal expansion coefficient of ferrous materials are empty!
Only one table part out of 14 has values printed, all others are ****.

Your help would be appreciated. I am looking for CA6NM mean (B) thermal expansion coefficient (should be on page 748, 13Cr-4Ni steels).

yours truly,

My research reveals the following: Errors were found in the values of Metric Table TE-1. Therefore, the metric values were indicated as TBD (To Be Determined) for the 2004 and later editions.

I found a Section II subcommitte proposal tracking number 04-836 that can be found at the following link:

Enter the tracking number 04-836 into the advanced search box and you will find the subcommitee proposal.

For the status of this proposal, you will have to contact a Section II commitee member. I believe a revised table has been drafted but not yet approved.

Perhaps others here can provide more details as to when the revised table will be issued/published.

tigny,

What you could do for the meantime is to search what you need in 2007 ASME II Part D (Customary) and then convert the values into METRIC.

Dear Codejackal, dear doct9960,

thank you for your help.

I used the last revision of customary values, multiplied by 1.8

Thanks again,

yours truly,
