Hi to all,
I'm new in this forum and I'm wroting here in order to receive your feedback about the subject.
In detail I have a gas cooler with tubesheets made by plate in SA171-C46400 (required by specification) and the design temperature of the complete compressor skid is 210°C.
Design code is ASME VIII Div.1 Ed.2015.
I have checked in table 1B of ASME II D Ed.2015 and the max temperature limit of this material is fixed at 204°C.
This value (204°C) can be exceeded?
I can run a calulation for the cooler with a design temperature of 210°C?
If yes I think that the "only" problem that we find is an allowable stress lower than the value indicated on table and we will have the two tubesheets thicker.
Thanks in advance for your feedback.
Regards
Filippo
