Hi,
One shop having ASME "N" (Nulcear) stamp and valid until end of next year (2012)! Now this shop planning to move another location (Appx. 10-15 kms.away from old location) with name change within 6 months (By end of this year)!
What is the ASME requirement for Nuclear shop (N) in above case?
Will ASME schedule an Audit at new location? Do they have to continue production at current shop until they will have "N" stamp (ASME cert.) for new Location ?
Pls. guide me.
Thanks in advance.

i think all code stamps go by "location"

New location means new certificate of authorization

i would check with my AI to see how you need to do it

Probably have new location operating with new stamp before cancelling the old one

It appears to me that if the QA program has not changed and the AIA of record concurs, all ASME needs to do is to issue a revised Certificate with the revised address.

For a name change, this depends on why the name is being changed. I agree that the AIA of the Certificate holder would be in the know.

Hi. For. N. Stamp it is more complicated than a simple
Stamp. S. Or. U. H. The jurisdiction is involved
