According ASME SA 20, par. 12.1.7, plates shall be marked with the letters "LTV", if Charpy-V-notch tests are carried out.
Does this marking also apply in following cases?
a) Plate is ordered with Charpy-V-notch testing only for information, i.e. without any minimum requirement
b) Plate is ordered with multiple marking:ASME Grade without mandatory impact requirements plus an European Grade with mandatory impact testing. Is the impact testing of the European Grade sufficient to mark the ASME Grade with "LTV"? Even if testing is not fully in accordance with SA370?

This makes no sense - you either specify a supplemental impact test requirement at the time of purchase or the material specification requires impact testing. In this case, a supplemental requirement for impact testing was invoked. If you read SA 20, part 12, Notch-Toughness tests ALL following paragraphs apply.

No. See paragraph 12.1.4.

Thanks very much for your reply.
Concerning impact testing for information only, this is (unfortunately) a current practice worldwide.
Just pay for testing is cheaper then material with guaranteed minimum values.
