According ASME SA 20, par. 12.1.7, plates shall be marked with the letters "LTV", if Charpy-V-notch tests are carried out.
Does this marking also apply in following cases?
a) Plate is ordered with Charpy-V-notch testing only for information, i.e. without any minimum requirement
b) Plate is ordered with multiple marking:ASME Grade without mandatory impact requirements plus an European Grade with mandatory impact testing. Is the impact testing of the European Grade sufficient to mark the ASME Grade with "LTV"? Even if testing is not fully in accordance with SA370?
