Review PG-71 in Section I. Two valves may be used on "Y" fitting but they must be independent of each other.

It sounds like you don't have a copy of ASME Section I??? If you do have a copy, the words are there for your guidance.

Hi,
What are the requirements for the connecting piping of the two (2) relief valves to one boiler pressure vessel opening?
Is there any calculation required to show an A.I?
pls. advice me asap.
thanks

mihir5577 Yee eans a Yee type of tee,
simple enough you choose a yee because a std tee will accumulate water so a yee and 2 niples and couplings will separate the 2 sv's from each other
consult your plumbing books or the supplier and they will know you will see.

you will also need to confirm the reactions from the releif valve will not overtune or damage the wye connection- this might be done by placing a saddle support under the valves.
