ASME SEC. VIII, DIV. 2 – PART 5 - TRENING

Hi there,

I am a CAE engineer and have been specializing in FEA for the past 10 years now. While I can get around analysis quite well I have not used it a lot in alignment with particular standards. I now have the opportunity to work in pressure vessel design and analysis and would like some guidance on how to efficiently use FEA in pressure vessel design. Naturally I would be using ASME SEC. VIII, DIV. 2 – PART 5, DESIGN BY ANALYSIS. I am mostly looking for guidance through the standard with some examples form the real projects. If anyone knows a trening, a book, a tutorial, etc. that could help me started, I would highly appreciate.

Hello,

I would recommend taking Becht Engineer "ASME SEC. VIII, DIV. 2 – PART 5, DESIGN BY ANALYSIS" I don't know the schedule for the next session. There may be others but I'm not familiar with those.

Might be best to amend your title to TRAINING, then more people might respond if they know what it is about.

Thanks to both. Yes, I found the Becht Engineer "ASME SEC. VIII, DIV. 2 – PART 5, DESIGN BY ANALYSIS" but I just missed it in October and it seems it will not be on until spring of 2023, which is a bit late for me.
I will also change the title so more people can respond.
