ASME Sec VIII Div1-Impact exemption clause for Fittings, Plugs etc

Dear Forum members,
Could some please shed some light on the applicable exemption clauses for vessel parts like pipe fittings, threaded plugs etc. used in ASME Sec VIII Div 1 vessels.
I mean how to evaluate the impact test requirements for these vessel parts?
