I have a drawing of an ASME code boiler that refers to PG31 fig(g) at two places. 1. Flat end to drum attachment. 2. In construction comments to do with Radiography & PWHT.
As it quotes "fig(g)" I would suspect it is a weld detail. Can anyone confirm?
Also if it is a weld, is it a set in endplate with less than 45 degree fillet weld prep.

Yes, it is a weld detail for a full penetration welded set in endplate: weld thickness need be &[ignore]ge[/ignore];2tr and &[ignore]ge[/ignore];1.25ts (tr is required drum thickness, ts is nominal drum thickness)
