Looking for stress intensity values for SA-516-70N material
from Table 2A of ASME Section II, part D from either 1989 or 1992 code edition.

Temperature range from between 300 deg. F & 400 deg. F

The allowable stress for VIII-1 applications for SA516-70 material pre-1999 is 17,500 psi up to and including 650°F.

As a trivial detail, the stresses can be found in the 1989 edition of Section VIII-1, table UCS-23, not Section II-D. I forgot when that changed, sometime in the early-mid 1990's?

Ok, ok, you said Table 2A, not 1A, so you mean Div. 2...

The allowable stresses for Div. 2 have not changed, thus the current allowable stress for SA516-70 material at 300°F is 22.5 ksi and at 400°F it is 21.7 ksi. Linearly interpolate intermediate values.

The new Div. 2 will have new, increased allowable stresses. My impression is that it will be issued as a 2005 or 2006 edition.

That's great.
Yes, this is for a Division 2 vessel that was manufactured in 1992.
We do not have the old 1992 codes in our library, so I needed to verify if the Sm values had changed since then.

Thanks for the assistance.
