I was curious if on a 130PSI Boiler system consisting of 4 boilers. Does the common header have to be stamped? We have the first spool piece from the boiler to the first stop valve and then the section from that valve to the next valve stamped. But does the common header need to be stamped? From what we can tell it is referred to as non-boiler external piping.

Any help would be appreciated.

If these are Section I boilers I suggest you read the Preamble which defines where the boiler terminates and where the piping begins.

sarget,
You are correct that the piping past the second valve would be non-boiler external piping. The header does not need a stamp.
The NBEP could be required to comply with rules of ASME B31.1 Power Piping Code, ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code, or even ASME B31.9 Building Services Code, depending on the Owner's decision.
