Hey everyone,
We've been asked by a customer to fabricate a vessel that would require a 14,000lb duplex (S32205) forging.
SA-182 has an annoying scope limitation, indicating that it is only to be used for components with a maximum weight of 10,000lb. SA-182 then points to a couple of other specs if the part is heavier than this, unfortunately S32205 doesn't exist in either of those specs.
We have already gone back to the customer with some other options (clad material / weld overlaid material / etc...).
Does anyone know if there is any workaround to bypass the 10,000 weight limit of SA-182 for S32205 material?
Thanks!
