Hi Guys,

I am doing a fatigue analysis based on an elastic-plastic analysis to ASME VIII Div.2 2017 for a component made from Stainless Steel 430. 430 is ferritic stainless steel.

1. Table 5.13 Fatigue penalty factors for fatigue analysis does not list parameters for Ferritic Stainless Steel. Which parameter should I use for 430 material?
2. Does the parameter for Stainless Steel and Nickel Based Alloys from The table 3-D.1 stress-strain curve include 430 material?
3. 4xx series materials include ferritic and martensitic chromium alloys. Does the fatigue curves Figure 3-F.1 include 430 material?

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Bill
