RE: ASME Section VIII, Div.1 Summer 2006 Addenda UCS-79(d). Can anyone assist me in interpretation of this requirement as it applies to P-1 Group 1 or 2 material?
1. for P-1 Group 1 and 2 materials - Subsequent heat treatment is a code requirement if the extreme fiber elongation exceeds 5%, Meeting or not meeting the 5 conditions do not change this requirement.
? True ? False
2. for P-1 Group 1 and 2 materials - Subsequent heat treatment is a code requirement if the extreme fiber elongation exceeds 40% and none of the 5 conditions exist.
? True ? False
3. for P-1 Group 1 and 2 materials - Maximum extreme fiber elongation shall not exceed 40% when none of the 5 conditions exist.
? True ? False
4. for P-1 Group 1 and 2 materials - Maximum extreme fiber elongation limits are not defined if any of the 5 conditions exist.
? True ? False
Thanks in advance
