Nothing free? I know netlibrary has a lot of stuff that isn't in the public domain, but you can get an account through a subscriber (such as a public library or university). I was wondering if there was a similar thing that I might be able to use to read a copy.

Y14.5 is copyrighted by ASME; any copy that you can get to for free would be in violation of copyright.

We read copyrighted books in libraries all the time. We also read copyrighted website materials. There are legal ways around owning your own copy of intellectual property. I was hoping that one existed for this.

Libraries pay for their copies. My company pays for a subscription to IHS. You should check to see if your company does something similar.
