I was doing asphalt core Gmb using archimedes principle for volume calculation i find that when i submerge the core in water after 5mints the balance give the stable submerge wieght..but when i spin the core forcely in water the wieght increased by 4 to 5 gram..why this happened..in ASTM standered you cannot forcely rotate the core in water..whats its logic..help

You're probably shaking extra air bubbles loose from within the core, altering its buoyancy. As far as the logic behind an ASTM standard, I quit trying to understand it years ago.

Yes Tiger you are right because by doing so we bring changes in volume thats why buoyancy change buy why astm not allowed us to measure its accurate volume thats my concern
