Dear All
I'm looking for an asphalting expert to advise how to deliver the hot asphalt material into a tunnel through an asphalting operation, the tunnel height is low as 5 to 6 meters, which does not allow the big tipper truck to open the dumping jack.
The Tunnel length is 2200 meters (double Cell )
there is one solution to use a Live bottom trailer but this equipment is not available in Saudi Arabia
another solution is to use Buggy Asphalt Shuttler, but this is eq. is not available, expensive, has a long lead time, and does batch shuttling only.
the best solution will be a Hot material conveying system to move the material from the truck unloader directly and in a telescopic mechanism to the paver feeding hopper.
Tarmac achieved a world-class finish to Catesby Tunnel, I hope somebody knows one of the asphalting teams who participated in the project, so I can contact him.
