Hi all, i have an 85 ft tall asrs setting on a 24 inch thick slab which will be supported by a matrix of auger cast piles. Pile spacing is yet to be determined. the slab will be set on grade and not on void forms, but fully supported by piles.

Does anyone have any experience in dealing with superflat slabs as it relates to creep in structural slabs?

I asked anyway and got some vague guidance (I'm well acquainted with a retired engineer that worked for the company that invented the F system and spent a couple decades in super flat consulting.)

After pouring the floor, wait as long as the schedule will allow and then pour a 4", unbonded topping slab. The topping slab should be heavily reinforced, preferably with hooked steel fibers at a rate of no less than 50lbs/yard. You may still get some creep, but the grinding should be minimal.

What are your dimensional tolerances?
