I am creating assembly constraints using NXOpen VB.NET.However when i try to open the constraints created by my code , it throws the following alert even though the selcted geometry gets highlighed in the assembly.
Can someone please point out what is going wrong ?

"The constraint contains invalid geometry references.New references cannot be added to the constraint until the invalid references have been removed"

I opened your Assembly in NX 7.5.5.4 and I saw no 'alerts' or errors, per the attached image.

I am getting the alert when i am double clicking on any of the assembly constraints in the assembly.

Also even though i am constraining the components in the assembly , the parts are not mating.
Any clue whats going wrong ?

To start with, I would Constrain the larger component with a 'Fixed' Constraint otherwise stuff will continue to move around on you. I also doubled clicked on the Constraints and there were no 'alerts'.

That being said, I've redone the Constraints as how I would have done them, in the attached assembly file.

Thanks for sending the assembly file but it is not opening in NX 6.0 , i guess i have to open it with Nx 7.5 or higher.
I will try fixing the larger component in my code and see if the constraints are working good.
But it is surprising the same assembly when opened in Nx 7.5.3 is throwing alerts as attached in the screenshot.

In the first place, your original post said nothing about NX 6.0. The title of the post clearly implies that you are working in NX 7.5.

And in the second place, the assembly in your picture is NOT the one you uploaded. So if we're going to talk about a problem with a particular assembly, then lets stick to the assembly in question and not some other one, OK?

I am preparing our tool to work for both NX 6.0 and NX 7.5 and that is the reason for trying it in both versions.
The screenshot that i have shown belongs to the same assembly , but with more number of components.
I do not have Nx 7.5 in my home system , but you have to believe me the alerts are even coming in the assembly file i had sent earlier.
This is something which is intriguing me for the past few days as there is no alert coming for the same in NX6.0 but yet the mating fails in both versions.
I guess i will try the fix constraint and get back if the problem persists.
