Hi folks,

I apologise if this has been addressed before. I haven't searched as I cannot think of the correct search terms to use. Please point me in the right direction if a thread already exists.

Using NX 7.5, I'm trying to piece together a linked assembly of an OHV valvetrain. The cam followers are in the parent assembly (constrained to the camshaft and cylinder block), the rocker arms are in the rocker shaft assembly (constrained to the rocker shaft and are free to rotate) and I'm trying to assemble the pushrods. What I'd like is for the position of the pushrod to control the rotational position of the rocker arms in the child assembly. Is this possible in NX as it just throws up a 'conflicting constraint' error whenever I try.

Many thanks,

Dave

Select for the components which need to move together the "override constraint" option (I believe it was right click on the component and then select the option)
This will allow the movements in the subassemblies.
