Here is what I am trying to do, I will try to simply, if possible.
I have several subassemblies that I put together to make the floor or my trailer, each sub has numerous variables, number/spacing etc. For a given order I configure my 5 subassemblies and put them together.
Then I have to send the floor to insulation they need info for the entire floor assembly.
Each sub is made up of beams
I then want to place a single part on each beam (a filler)for the entire trailer. Is there a good way to do this? I have thought of placing a dummy part on each beam (since I generally use each beam over and over again) then when my top assembly is made, do a replace. But the problem there is that the filler is in the beam subassy. I need it in the top level assembly.
I can run each subassy of the floor (knowledgeware, formulas, etc), but for an entire floor assembly for an order I have 17 variables each with 5 to 8 choices, way too complex.
I hope I have explained this well enough
